Value Delivered

Forest Electric New Jersey provided electrical construction services for new office and laboratory spaces, as well as the upgrade of an existing lab.

We took advantage of lean construction techniques throughout the project, including the use of off-site fabrication of equipment and materials and “just in time” deliveries, to help reduce the amount of labor on the job and the on-site storage needed. The team maintained the original project schedule and budget, with only minimal disruption to client facilities adjacent to the work area.

Client Objectives

The client took on the project to expand and renovate their offices and pharmaceutical research facilities.

Solutions

The project added 81,500 square feet of new space, in addition to extensive upgrades, utilizing an integrated project delivery/design-assist approach.

In the process, our team installed:

  • 1,700 new light fixtures
  • New fire alarm system
  • New automatic transfer switch
  • 30 new electrical panels
  • All outlets and switches
  • All distribution conduit and wire
  • All branch circuit conduit and wiring

We worked as a trade partner to provide design expertise and budget pricing throughout the design phase of the project, and our engineering team assisted with the development and coordination of the BIM model.

In the construction phase, we provided project management solutions to help develop the construction schedule, and coordinated design, submittals, approvals, and delivery of owner furnished electrical equipment.
