Client Objectives
The client needed an experienced electrical contractor to remove the existing fiber loop feeding their multi-building campus and build a new fiber backbone that would serve the entire campus.
Solutions
Forest NJ provided extensive electrical services during this fiber infrastructure project, including:
- Furnishing and installation of a new fiber backbone system via newly installed underground duct banks
- Installation of approximately 65,000 feet of exterior single-mode fiber cable, ranging in size from 12- to 144-strands
- Fulfilling project scope within a tight timeline while helping to ensure stringent safety guidelines were followed
After we completed this project, the client selected us again to help with an expansion project. For that project, we:
- Furnished and installed new underground duct banks
- Installed approximately 20,000 feet of exterior single-mode fiber cable within existing and new underground duct banks, ranging in size from 48- to 144-strands
- Furnished and installed new splices and terminations
