Two EMCOR companies came together to construct New Jersey’s tallest building, a 1.5-million-square-foot office and trading complex.

Value Delivered

Forest Electric New Jersey (Forest NJ) was the single-source power provider for the building’s core and shell, delivering power distribution, core area lighting, general usage power, stairwell lighting, installation of extensive electrical heating cable and all grounding infrastructure.

We worked on this project with sister EMCOR company, Forest Electric New York, and together seamlessly met an aggressive construction schedule while coordinating logistically challenging delivery requirements resulting from the building’s location on the waterfront.

Client Objectives

The client wanted to build a 42-story office tower to complement their corporate headquarters at 85 Broad Street in downtown Manhattan.

Solutions

Forest NJ’s scope of work was the largest of all electrical and mechanical contracts on the project. Construction of the core and shell electrical infrastructure included:

  • Installation of approximately 350,000 feet of conduit
  • Installation of approximately 1.5 million feet of cable
  • Coordinating an especially complex materials delivery schedule
