Value Delivered

Forest Electric New Jersey (Forest NJ) provided design-build contracting services to the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA), replacing an existing 13.2kV substation and a high-voltage underground distribution cabling system.

The new system supplies power to multiple sports arenas, including the Giants Stadium, Continental Airlines Arena, the Meadowlands Pumping Station, and the Meadowlands Racetrack. Forest NJ provided engineering, procurement, and construction services and coordinated the complicated shutdown of each venue before work commenced.

  • Switchgear replacement for the Meadowlands facility
  • Substation pad construction
  • Concrete foundation on driven piles
  • Installation of conduits and feeders from existing substation switchgear to new substation switchgear
  • New relay control scheme, designed and engineered by Forest NJ
  • Coordination of all incoming utility feeders according to energy company requirements
