Dean joins Forest Electric as a BIM Engineer bringing with him an integrated background with more than six years of experience in the electrical industry. Working in a variety of construction environments including commercial, educational, industrial and healthcare, Dean provides coordinated, reliable information throughout all phases of a project. Handling multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently is just a part of his passion for project delivery and staying on top of cutting-edge technology.
Dean’s foundation began with IBEW Local 102, completing his apprenticeship and working as journeyman. His experience as a field electrician included both, small and large scale projects in commercial, residential and industrial areas. In addition to hands-on learning in the field, Dean continued his education by completing classes in estimating, AutoCAD MEP and electrical coding and inspection.
With Forest Electric, Dean worked on-site of the Memorial Sloan Kettering project in Middletown, NJ along-side the lead BIM engineer. Responsible for laying out electrical equipment and conduit runs for critical circuits and medical rooms, a thorough comprehension of the medical equipment was necessary to complete the designs with exact precision. Taking part in weekly meetings to coordinate with multiple trades, Dean complied clash reports and facilitated solutions in Navisworks to enable efficient decision-making.
Dean continues his growth and thirst for knowledge by attending Revit classes and taking on new responsibilities within the company.
